After School Activities
Registration for spring after-school classes opens on Friday, February 28th at 9am.
Spring Session runs March 10 - May 15 with no program March 31 - April 3rd for Spring Break.
Below are our after-school spring offerings. As always if your students is already enrolled in ALC classes (SAGE, Jazz Band, Cooking, Book Club, Young Writers Club, Legos, History Day or D&D) you do not need to re-register.
Please note: Dungeons & Dragons will change from Monday and Wednesday's to ONLY Monday's and be lead in the Spring by Mr. Beck.
Mondays:
- Basketball and Open Gym with Mr. Josh.
- Drama and Spring Skit with Ms. Lund.
- Dungeons & Dragons with Mr. Beck.
- History Day with Ms. Monroe.
- Makers Market - sewing and crafting gifts and items to sell with Ms. Michelle.
- Sketching & Drawing with Mr. J. Students will receive a sketch book and drawing materials.
Tuesdays:
- Art Murals and Mosaics - Artist in Residence - Indoor recess room mural. Spring unveiling event. Project supported by a Hennepin County Arts & Music Grant (new openings).
- Design Den - design patterns and projects and enjoy sewing studio time with help from Ms. Michelle.
- Mask Making Mini May Day - Learn the art of mask making with Ms. Lund. Students will perform with masks for our Spring unveiling event *This class starts April 21st*

Urban 4H - continue hydroponics gardens, harvest food, cooking and outdoor gardening with U of M Extension (new openings).

Young Writers Club with Ms. Olsen.

Girls, Inc run by YWCA

Girls Volleyball - no experience necessary. Coached by Ms. Shayda.
Wednesdays:
- BIPOC Boys Group with Mr. Josh. Hang out, snack, play games, get outside and build community.
- Cooking Club with Ms. Becky (full).
- Futsal - play games and learn skills inside the gym with Mr. J.
- Jazz Band with Mr. Erickson.
- Makers Market - sewing and crafting gifts and items to sell with Ms. Michelle.
- Pride/SAGE - for students who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community or are from LGBTQIA+ families. Co-facilitated by Ms. Julia and Ian from MPS Out4Good (full).
Thursdays:
- Bike Shop - learn general bike maintenance and repairs with Mr. Crabtree.
- Book Club with Ms. Olsen.
- Design Den - design patterns and projects and enjoy sewing studio time with help from Ms. Michelle.
- Lego Masters - weekly challenges and competitions give the opportunity to be creative and have fun with Ms. Mac.
- Mask Making Mini May Day - Learn the art of mask making with Ms. Lund. Students will perform with masks for our Spring unveiling event *This class starts April 21st*
- Unified Arts & Crafts and Sports and Games - Unified brings students of all abilities together to have fun and build community. Supported by The Special Olympics of MN.
